What is it like to be a camper at Triple C? Let’s find out!
Q: Where do I drop off my camper(s)?
A: We have a required parent drop off every Monday for camp. This means that you must check your camper in each Monday morning, at the main church building.
- Tuesday – Friday: Drop off for 2nd – 8th will take place outside of our sports complex, which is the large, white structure next to the main church building. Kindergarten and 1st grade will drop off at the Route 7 entrance, where your camper will be greeted by a counselor and escorted to the classroom.
- Preschool: You will be dropping off your child in his or her designated room every day. Preschool parents may use the lower level Rt. 7 entrance until 9 am. After such time, you will need to use the back entrance (at the top of the hill). You will need to park and walk your camper inside the building.
- During AM Care hours (7:00am-8:00am): drop your campers off in the bottom of the building, on the side facing Rt 7. Your child must be signed in each morning.
- After regular drop off hours (after 9:00am): please use the back entrance (at the top of the hill). You will need to park and walk your camper inside the building.
Q: Is lunch provided?
A: Lunch is not provided. Remember to pack lunch and snacks daily. We spend most of our time outdoors and involved in physical activities, so send enough for your hungry camper to rejuvenate and stay hydrated. *For overnight campers, we provide breakfast and lunch the following day.
Q: What do the campers do all day?
A: Each day is unique, but let’s just take one sample day out of the week to give you a picture of our summer adventure!Let’s peek into “A Day in the Life of a Triple C Camper”….
You can begin arriving by 7:00 am, where a counselor will greet you. We will first check your camper in, and you may drop off your campers at their animal themed classroom. The day will start off with a morning snack until it is time to go to our first craft activity. Next, campers move onto on Bikes, Trikes and Scooters, where they have a blast riding their own bikes, while listening to some cool tunes! Our campers then have playground time followed by a Bible story. After all this fun, our campers have worked up an appetite! They will have lunch and then it will be time for some much needed rest for our full-day campers. Our half-day campers will be picked up at 12:30. After nap time, our campers will make a craft, play in the inflatable bounce house and enjoy a fun music game until pick-up. Then, a NEW adventure will begin tomorrow!
Kindergarten – 1st Grade
You’ll arrive at 8 AM and be greeted by a counselor. We will check you in and you’ll gather with other campers in your age group until it is time to make our first stop at Chapel! We’ll sing songs and engage in a Bible story. Next, we’ll have a snack and then head outside for scooter races around the flagpole. You’ll then get to ride in a Go-Kart! Each camper gets at least one turn on the track. You will strap on a helmet, buckle up and ride with a licensed counselor on our very own go-kart track! After a pit stop inside for lunch and quenching your inner thirst with lots of water, we move on to satisfying your outer thirst with splashing and playing on our water slides – we’ve got a 270′ dual lane slide that will have campers racing down to a gushing, splashing finish!
Now it’s time to head inside for an epic battle of dodge ball and an afternoon snack. Whew! Time has flown by and it is time to pack up and be ready for a NEW adventure tomorrow!
2nd – 5th Grade
You’ll arrive at 8 AM and be greeted by a counselor. We will check you in and you’ll gather with other campers in your age group until it is time to go to your first activity, pedal boats! Campers will work in teams of four to race around the pond, avoiding the “Purple Gator” at all costs! Next, we move on to bubble soccer. Here you will enjoy all the fun of soccer with a twist. Campers will be sporting an inflatable bubble as they play!
With all the fun we’ve had so far, we sure have worked up an appetite! You’ll have lunch and we’ll spend some time with Devos (Devos are short for devotional). In our devotions, counselors act out the Bible story of the day to engage your imagination and help you relate the story to your daily life. Now it’s time to load up on the bus and head to the pool!
After we’ve splashed and enjoyed the cool waters, we’ll be back on campus for pick-up and a NEW adventure tomorrow! Don’t forget our Fun Trips, where we journey off-campus for more summer fun!
6th – 8th Grade
You’ll arrive at 8 AM and be greeted by a counselor. We will check you in and you’ll gather with other campers in your age group until it is time to go to your first activity, archery! You will spend time learning the techniques of shooting a bow and arrow, while enjoying a wonderful outdoor sport. Next, we move onto your choice of Fishing or Rock Wall Climbing. All of this combined with stops for cotton candy, popcorn or snow cones, while jamming to the music on the patio. Even though we’ve been enjoying the snacks, we need to fill up on lunch! You’ll have lunch and we’ll spend some time with Devos (Devos are short for devotional). This is when we spend time reflecting on a Bible verse or story and sharing in small groups to reflect on how these values can be effective in our own lives, and then we head to the pool! After we’ve raced a few laps, we’ll be back on campus for dinner and an amazing worship experience and energy-filled event from our youth ministry team, Fire Escape! This extended day is jam packed and filled with excitement. Soon it will be time to pack up, go home and rest up for tomorrow’s brand NEW adventure! Don’t forget our FunTrips, where we journey off-campus for an amazing adventure!
